A butterfly-shaped sculptural installation stands on a circular pedestal at the Civic Center, painted in deep blue, black, gold, and white. Both wings depict a nocturnal Los Angeles cityscape — freeway interchanges, downtown buildings, palm trees, and figures rendered beneath branching trees filled with faces. The gold central body reflects the surrounding environment. Additional painted sculptures are visible further along the plaza, part of the same civic public art program.
